We‘re excited to introduce Birdview’s AI assistant – a chatbot, built to simplify your day-to-day work. The new feature gives you instant access to information about your projects, tasks, and knowledge base, without needing to click through multiple screens. This is part of our broader effort to make Birdview not just more powerful, but easier and faster to use.
How it works
This feature is currently in beta testing and is available through Feature Labs.
The AI Chatbot is available directly inside Birdview via the same button you use to open the Intercom chat. If enabled for your account, you‘ll see the AI assistant appear in its own tab. From there, just start typing.
Here‘s what the chatbot currently supports:
- Search and filter: Ask for project or task details by name, user, status, priority, or date range.
- User-specific queries: Want to know what someone is working on? Ask by their name, and the chatbot will find their assignments.
- Project messages: Ask to see the latest messages from a project or task and stay up to date on progress.
- Knowledge Base lookups: Need help with a feature? The chatbot can search your Birdview Knowledge Base and return longer, helpful responses.
The chatbot processes your question using natural language understanding and instantly returns structured responses that include task names, due dates, project statuses, and more. It also remembers the context of your current conversation, so you can ask follow-up questions like “When does it start?” without needing to restate the project name.
When using the AI chatbot, there are a few things you need to keep in mind:
- Conversations are not saved once the chat window is closed. We recommend starting a new chat when switching topics.
- Responses include clickable links to tasks, projects, and knowledge base articles, allowing you to jump directly into the platform or help section from the chat.
